Trying to install 3dfx Voodoo video card but it doesn’t display anything! – Don’t worry here are some solution that can help you:
Did you know? 3dfx Interactive was a company headquartered in San Jose, California, it was founded in 1994.
This compnay was specialized in the manufacturing of 3D graphics processing units & later, graphics cards. The company’s flagship product was the Voodoo Graphics, an add-in card that accelerated 3D graphics.
The hardware accelerated only 3D rendering, relying on the PC’s current video card for 2D support.
Despite this limitation, the Voodoo Graphics product and its follow-up, Voodoo2, were popular. It became a standard for 3D games to offer support for the company’s Glide API.
3dfx rapidly declined beginning in the late 1990s and was acquired by Nvidia mostly for intellectual property rights after going bankrupt in 2002.
If resolution set too high for the card, try to start the computer in safe mode and set a low resolution. If you are unable to access your computer means if the video card doesn’t display anything then put your old one back in or whatever you used to use.
It’s a 3d card, you need another normal card (used to be a normal 2d card or something I think) one for that (capable of display out).
